Our Process

Building a home in the Hill Country is about more than walls and finishes—it’s about land, legacy, and doing things the right way. At Bandit Homes, our process is built on straight talk, trusted craftsmanship, and real partnership from day one.

HOW WE COLLABORATE

Building a home is a deeply personal journey.

Our process is designed to feel grounded, transparent, and genuinely collaborative from start to finish.

Whether you’re starting with a wide-open piece of land or bringing plans that are already taking shape, we walk the property, listen first, and guide every step with care. From thoughtful planning to boots-on-the-ground execution, each phase is shaped around how you live, how the land lays, and what will stand the test of time. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. It’s a collaborative build—rooted in the Hill Country, built with intention, and made to last for generations.

01/ Introductions

We start with a conversation to get to know you — your goals, your lifestyle, and what you’re hoping to build. Just as important, this step helps ensure we’re the right fit for one another.

02/ Design & Preliminary Cost Planning

Using a design questionnaire and early planning, we work with our architect to develop initial concepts and a realistic cost range. This gives everyone a clear starting point before moving forward.

03/ Architectural Planning & Selections

This is where the vision comes together. Detailed plans are developed alongside a structured, six-week selections process led by our in-house design team. We handle the heavy lifting, guide decisions, and keep budgets aligned.

04/ Formal Bid Presentation

Once plans and selections are complete, we present a comprehensive proposal based on real information — not estimates or guesswork.

05/ Contract & Pre-Construction

After contract execution, final plan details are reviewed and a pre-construction meeting sets expectations before building begins.

06/ Construction

With planning complete, construction moves forward efficiently. Clients receive regular updates and  weekly site meetings to stay informed every step of the way.

07/ Completion & Closing

Before closing, we walk the home together, review systems, and ensure everything meets our standards. We don’t rush this step — a home should be finished right.

Professionally Curated Finishes

All finishes are selected by our in-house design team, who guide the process with a clear understanding of budget, longevity, and livability.
